Using gravity and magnetic fields to reveal deep oil-bearing objects

We describe a novel approach to complex interpretation of gravitational and magnetic fields with the aim to identify tectonic uplifts in the sedimentary sequence. The essence of the method is to eliminate the component of anomalous gravitational field, which is caused by variations of rock density under the influence of fluidization in the tectonic-magmatic activization. Application of this procedure and subsequent vector transformation of the field allowed to identify the known tectonic uplifts and to delineate prospective areas.
